While the search for the cure of HIV/AIDS continues, millions of people are currently leaving with the disease. Development of sophiscated “cocktails” of antiretroviral ARV drugs has made HIV and AIDS amanageable chronic illness.
Although people leaving with HIV can be healthy, strong and live perfectly normal lives, they can experience arange of symptoms that will affect their day to day life.
HIV/AIDS is not acurse from God and when some one is infected or affected does not make him or her less of human being so STOP DISCRIMINATION because any of us can Die any time. Its only and only God who keeps us alive. WE ARE EQUAL
DISCORDANCE simply means having one partner negative and the other positive. This happens in two conditions;
1. The power o God. He has the ability to do what man cannot do so God has the power to merge the positive and negative in to one happy family.
2. When you taste positive, immediately start taking ARV. This will make you strong and it will disable the virus making it dormant but this can only be done by the help of medical doctors.
HIV/AIDS is only transmitted through sex and direct blood contact through piercing instruments like razer blade among others.
There are four ways of avoiding HIV/AIDS;
1. Abstaining from sex
2. Use condom if you cannot abstain.
3. Be faithful to your partner.
4. Avoid sharing piercing instrument like shavers, razors, needles among others.
IS AIDS still prior concern in our communities today? Over the last decades, the national aporoaches to HIV/AIDS prevention and control in uganda communities have been aresult of implementing policies and strategies from industrialised nations for example World Health Organization that has helped to achieve areduced HIV transmissions
uganda on the other hand as anation has been applauded fir her effort in prevention and control of HIV/AIDS among her population from 23% in the late 80's dropping to 4% in 2003 despite the rise to 6% in 2006 (UHSBS Surveillance Report from the ministry of health)
This was empowered through the nationwide Abstainance, Befaithful and use condom (ABC) intervation followed by the ever increasing collaborations and growth of HIV care providing non govermental and church based organisations.
HIV/AIDS accounts for over 25% of all deaths in uganda however we still wounder if the donour funded organisations lost their donours, where would the country be?
I there fore urge each and every body to take charge of your life because AIDS is out there waiting for you..............
