INTRODUCTION TO THE STUDY

Since the spark off  of HIV/AIDS scourge and its rapid spread which was realized in the early 1980's, many people,women, men, children, all married  and singles are infected and affected equally in the whole world. its estimated that more than sixty seven (67) million people have been infected since the epidermic began (World Health Report of mid 2004)

HIV is the virus that causes AIDS. It was discovered by French and American scientists in 1983 after the World getting concerned of a strange illness that was affecting, wasting and killing Adults. This was A virus termed HIV because it only infects and affects HUMAN BEINGS.

When it affects Human Beings, it Destroys the Body's ability to fight against Diseases. This renders the Immune system defenseless and vulnerable to all forms of infections ( TASO Report 2002)
